So I heard about this click tracking program called Crazy Egg. It takes a screen image of your website and then tracks where people click. Sounded interesting to me, so I signed up for the free trial and stuck it on my blog and Mandy's blog.
It shows where people are clicking by adding a color value to the darkened screen. Watch it, ladies. I'm a married man.

ReplyDeleteWell, you now know how to maximize your clicks! Might not be the approach you are looking for though.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally awesome. I didn't know there was software this affordable outside a UX lab! I'm guessing a lot of the click position are b/c people tend to focus on the center of the image, with some drift for right-handedness and/or swipe gestures?? I briefly looked at the crazy egg site, but no language regarding how they record swipe activity - since you have access at an admin level, can you share what they report?
ReplyDeleteI followed this from the white snow pants picture. Both made me laugh!
